Oakridge College is provisionally accredited by the Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training (www.umalusi.org.za).
At Oakridge we focus on the growth of the individual and provide an environment which helps students acquire basic skills, knowledge, attitudes and values which help them function in adult society.
We also strive to provide a safe, inviting, well-equipped and stimulating learning environment which encourages students to develop all of their intellectual, physical, moral, social and artistic powers so that they can cope with, succeed in and contribute to changing society for the better.
In order to assist students in their development and to be able to assess that development effectively, the school environment recognizes and responds to the different teaching philosophies and learning styles.
Education requires a process which constantly reviews and modifies existing structures and teaching strategies to guarantee that they are consistent with our visions and beliefs.

Oakridge is a small yet vibrant school. I enjoy the individual interaction and attention with my teachers, who teach us with passion.

Zama Dlomo (Oakridge Student)

As a parent of a 2009 matriculant at Oakridge College, I can say it was a great alternative to the normal school programme, as my daughter was very involved in swimming, and they went out of their way to accommodate her needs. She was very happy at Oakridge and has no regrets changing schools in grade 10 when choosing subjects. I notice the school has grown considerably since then, so obviously it is working for a lot of students.

Kate Fryer (Oakridge Past Parent)

My five years at Oakridge College were some of the best years of my life. Oakridge encouraged me to form and discover my own paths in life while providing a friendly and nurturing environment. I will forever cherish the special memories and amazing friendships formed with the other students at Oakridge College.

Cindy Coetzer (Oakridge Past Student)

I like Oakridge College because it allows you to grow as a person by giving you the opportunity to be independent.
